will 696's ever be produced again?

One thing the 696 has that the 629 doesnt is the K frame Grip. The bottom line is that its a big bore handgun on an L frame. One of a kind in the S&W lineup. Even so, when my FFL received mine he said it was "huge". Its not a CA Bulldog, its not an N frame mastiff, its more like an L frame...

Model S&W carried by Rick on Walking Dead?

They must have an S&W on set because in the second season I clearly saw him give Otis his revolver, and it was a 686 or a 629. NOT a python....However, it is very common in movies and TV for the prop people to assume the audience doesnt notice....that wont slip by me however

Just hold up a 38 next to a 44 spl or 45acp. Its pretty easy and keith44spl is right. This thread needs PICTURES. These threads are always fun...just dont step in the bull****

    Comparing the 38 special, 44 special & 45acp?

Who was it that said, "The 357 magnum is a good round, but I've seen 38's careen off of windshields" Oh yea. DIRTY HARRY. Case closed. Dirty harry is right. And if you like 38's then you put ketchup on a hotdog and nooobody, I mean NOBODY puts ketchup on a hot dog. Hence I have to vote for the...

    New Model 67 in CA

You CAN import them into the state. Legally. I just imported a 696 no dash into the state legally through the SSE exemption. I know an FFL in Socal who can help you, just find the older No lock version you want on a forum or on gunbroker, and LMK

Thanks for the info guys. Lenny- I was actually wondering the same thing if Don was even making those anymore. I would take a pair in any type of wood because the detail is so nice, but if he isnt making that style anymore thats a shame...its a nice looking grip (Boot style I think? Or combat?)...
