Shield - broken slide stop spring

After 1000+ flawless rounds, I now have this very same problem. I've tried everything short of a blowtorch to get the slide off.....no can do. It's obviously no longer going to be my EDC. I'll be calling S&W in the morning for return shipping label. Meanwhile, it's back to my trusty...

    New Shield 9mm malfunction

Although I have over 800+ flawless rounds thru mine, I discovered that it really didn't shoot that great until I had about 300 or so rounds thru it. After that, it's been nothing but a pure joy to shoot.

    What is This

I've seen that kind of dimpling on slides of different manufacturers. I always kinda thought it was to remove weight/balance the slide for the stock spring that was to be used in it. Never thought that it was CNC machine code of sorts. Learn something new almost everyday....LOL

    M&P M2.0 .357sig Question.....

I have the same setup as you. I also reload this caliber. 124 gr Hornady XTPs loaded in this setup are something to behold. :) So yeah, my opinions mirror yours. It's definitely a "bad to the bone" round and I find it to be pretty darn accurate as well. My CCW is a 9mm Shield but I keep the...

New Shield 9mm to the range today

My old hands and fingers insist on the use of the Uplula loader. One thing I noticed about my 9mm Shield is that it took about 300+ rounds before it started to shoot really sweet for me. These guns need a lot of break-in rounds to kinda loosen up a little; but once it's there, it shoots some...

    700 Round Update - 9mm Shield

About 2 months or so.....don't get to shoot too often.

    700 Round Update - 9mm Shield

As of this afternoon, I now have just over 700 rounds thru my 9mm Shield. I've not experienced a single hiccup of any kind with this pistol in all 700+ rounds. I've shot mostly 115 grain and some 124 grain FMJs thru it. For some reason, it appears to be more accurate with the 115s. I've not...

    Ameriglo I Dot Pro thoughts?

I use em. I got em on a Glock 30 Gen 4 and I'm going to put em on my Shield and Glock 23. Personally, I don't care for 3-dot sights. I can acquire follow-up shots quicker with the straight 8s like i-Dot. I'm trying to get these on all my carry guns so that the sights are all the same...

    Essential Shield Upgrades?

I totally agree with Rpg. Proper instruction, safe practices and ammo...lots of ammo. Clean & lube the gun per the Owner's Manual. 9mm Shields tend to come from the factory pretty dry with only some rust portectant on em. Clean & Lube it properly. It will save you a lot of grief. Once you...

Xgrip for M&P9c and 15 round magazine?

Xgrip will fit the 17-round 9mm and/or the 15-round .40S&W. In your case, (M&P9c), it will be a 17-round magazine.

HELP!! New Shield feeding all rounds improperly

I don't think this guy is a troll. Over the past few years, lots of people have been buying guns and proceeding without any kind of formal training....yeah, scary for sure. I've seen it at the range many times. One instance was so bad, I packed up my stuff and left before she accidentally shot...

Shield 9mm Clean & Lube (specifics)

Hoppes #9 is the classic solvent and been around like forever...at least since I was a kid and I'm now pushing 67. I've never cared for the smell of it. It smells just as bad now as it did back in the early 60s...LOL, but I have used it quite a bit in the past. What OKFC05 stated above is...

Now I did it. I went and got a CZ.

Yep. I have the Kadet .22LR Kit and use it on my 75BD every once in awhile. It's not cheap, nor is it easy to find one, but if you do, it makes for a pretty nice .22 conversion. It's accurate and works great. Mine was a little tight fit at first, but use over time, it's freed up nicely. The...

Now I did it. I went and got a CZ.

I, too, am a big fan of the CZs. I've got a PO1, 75BD and a 97BD. I also have the .22LR Kadet and wanting to add a .22 Hornet CZ rifle to the collection. My wife liked the PO1 so much that she's kinda confiscated it for her bedside and EDC pistol. The 75BD is one of my best shooters and the...

BEST PRICE ON 9MM SHIELD wo thumb saftey

+1 On Sportsman Outdoor. I bought mine there for $299 + free shipping before the $75 rebate. Paid my FFL $20 for the transfer. Once the rebate comes in, it puts me around $245 for one sweet shootin' pistol. I picked up five extra 8-round mags from Palmettos for $99 & free shipping.
