If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

Have been a handgun hunter for a long time in the south. If only one would be my PC 657, 6 inch flat side barrel with integral scope base. Right behind it would be a 57 8&3/8 inch gun.

    Name That Snake

that is a gray ratsnake, usually much more of a pattern when young, often getting more solid toward a mostly black as they get older, eat rodents, small birds, they will eat eggs, once pulled a large one out of a wood duck nesting box with ten eggs in it

    Permanent Plant And Shrub……….

Could use a little more info. What are the plans for the area? What kind of shrubs? That said, for most of my clearing I have used and still use "RoundUp", though the genric version. Places like Tractor Supply have glyphosate 40% which is round up concentrate. With many "weed" killers you have...

    Winchester 1894 AE Value?

With lever guns seeming to be on the increase 600 plus might be possible. If in the Macon area a LGS I haunt usually offers a decent price.

Show Us Pics of Your Single Shot Rifles

Have had a "thing" for single shot rifles for decades, my favorite form of long guns. The Ruger is my favorite and have brought home many over the years though now most are above my wallet funds. There are a few Brownings and Winchesters in my herd. A Colt-Sharps, unfired sits in the safe as...

    Remington XP100

Colby, If your set on turning your XP into a rifle you might want to try contacting Mike Deloach at I believe Nine gun run in south east Ga. Have a Savage Striker he worked on and have read he does excellent work.

    Rings For Scoped Magnum Revolvers

Have used a short gun for many years, lots of different calibers including many rifle calibers in single shot handguns. The Weaver Classic aluminum quad lock rings are my go to when setting up a new handgun. Found most often at Wallyworld for me, they work well at holding the scope in place and...

How do I kill off an underground yellowjacket nest?

From a Horticulture degree, your roses should be fine, use 1/2 a water bottle of gas, will kill them all, have done it a number of times, also Rose bushes can be replaced, getting stung can kill some

How do I kill off an underground yellowjacket nest?

Mark the hole, tonight after dark pour a half water bottle of gas down hole. Use a whole bottle if you want, should do the job. I usually walk up and stick bottle (upside down) in the hole and step back.

Mistakes I made as a young man

Am 67 at the moment. Realized a long time ago nobody is perfect. To me it is smart to learn from my mistakes and a waste of time to do them again. I step outside often and am amazed at where I am in life, 25 years ago never thought I would be where I am. Down the path of life had to step...

Heritage Rough Rider 22 single action.

Had one in my herd for awhile, a 6 or 6&1/2 inch blued version. It shot well to me, I prefer a semi auto 22 so I passed it on to my son-in-law. If I lean toward getting another will more than likely look at Ruger's super wrangler as it has adjustable sights and price isn't bad.

All the weather forecasters here are broken

My weather rock was actually cool yesterday morning and only got warm by the afternoon. It was a nice change from the normal 80 degree morning and 95 plus afternoon. The air was also low enough on humidity you could breathe it.

    Ruger Redhawk 41 (photos added)

In that condition and price, if you want it, go for it. In this part of the world it wouldn't last long without going home with someone.
