Yeah, that's why i was looking for clarification, some said yep but a mate bought an E series and it had the slot..... but no tool. he figured it was swiped by the shop. Also, You tube has some tear down/field strip videos which i have found helpful in the past, i'm new to the sport and rely on...

The merchant video makes it look simple to use, if i can find one of these i'll grab one and try it, not sure what's different between "Govt." and "Officers" style 1911's but i'm guessing one side will work fine for me.... Thanks very much.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've looked on You tube to find field strip videos and the ones i found used the tool but one also stressed that once the gun is fully broken in it's much easier to strip and reassemble. If there's one in the box, Thanks @Revoman i'll use it until i no longer need to...

Please tell me if the S&W 1911 comes with the tool to remove the barrel bushing in the box? If it has to be bought separately what's the best option? Cheers!

The 945 has no box and only the one Mag.... it's from a deceased estate so it is what it is. I'd like it but i'd definitely need a second and maybe a 3rd mag so i might be making a rod for my own back because they are scarce and importing the mags into Australia is difficult. Getting the gun...

I actually like the external extractor, it's the piccatiny rail i'm not a fan of.... These are really good value, I'm in Australia and the distributor here no longer lists them as available, they only list the PC version, which is ok, but i'm not sure i'd notice the difference, except the price....

I did read somewhere here to be careful and check the allen head screw that holds the compensator on the front of my V-Comp.... My brand new S&W was certainly not clean and while i do understand they can't really clean every gun and it's the new owners responsibility to make sure it's ready to...
