Thinking about getting a 22 rifle tomorrow.

I bought a 10-22 years ago and the only mod I did was put a $10 rimfire scope on it. It is way more than accurate enough for head shots on squirrels in the treetops and coyotes a hundred yards out. They are great rifles and will serve you well.

ANYBODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH LEGAL TROUBLES AKA LOCK REMOVAL?

Nope, nothing at all like seat-belts and airbags. No legal requirement. S&W still manufactures and sells new guns in the US without "the lock".

Looking for input from survivors of the 94 AWB

To answer your other question, mags have never been cheaper. They do not go bad . It you foresee a future need, a purchase today is not a bad idea. Also, this is the quiet before the storm, ammo and reloading components are all available today. I had to wait 30 months to be able to buy...

    Bushnell TRS-25 ...Good?

Some shooters have difficulty with a red dot mostly from an eye condition. For this reason, they get returned to Amazon on a regular basis. Then they are resold as "used" for up to 50% off normal street price. I have bought more than one of these this way, and couldn't be happier with any...

Took My First Revolver Apart .. Couple Questions

Have you miced your hand? There is some variance on "standard" size hands. I had some spares several years ago, and they varied one way or another by several thousandths of an inch. I sold some to folks looking for a certain size hand. They helped correct carry up problems for those members.

    Need some Model 65 advice

Don't pass on a 3" 64 either. 38sp is more fun than full 357 loads out of essentially the same gun. I had a 3" 64 and wish I had never traded it.

    pitting or barrel fouling.

Also, I have several revolvers with pitted barrels, they still shoot better than I can hold them, and on par with far newer and nicer guns.

    pitting or barrel fouling.

Before the bore paste, try some Chore Boy, the 100% copper version. Use it wrapped (so it is a tight fit) on a smaller caliber bore mop or brush. Run some CLP down the barrel first, let sit a spell, then go after it with the chore boy. If fouling, it will come out in chunks, and do no damage...

    Police Whistles

This thread made me look for my whistle. HS coach gave it ti me to help ref a few scrimmages in the late 60s. Later I used it when riding a bicycle in town, way more effective than a car horn. It now stays with my hunt gear, and that is where I found my Made in England Acme Thunderer.

.22 LR case collapse and debris blown out port of AR22

Extractor could have been jammed by debris, and fired the primer instead of riding over the rim as it should.

    Water Heaters

The last water-heater that I had fail, failed dur to pressure cycling. New water codes call for check valves on the water service line. This necessitates either a pressure relief valve or a air/watter bladder expansion tank. I installed a pressure relief valve, and it quit relieving after a...

    Water Heaters

Changing the sacrificial anode does more, but draining them occasionally can help, unless you break the plastic drain valve.
