    Paddle Holsters

No, but as I mentioned, it pretty much stays in the holster, so there's no daily insertion/removal taking place.

The Air Force Has Completed its Inspection of their SIG M18 Service Pistols

I have long agreed with this philosophy, ( for most situations), but I find it curious how many people vehemently argue against it. These often seem to be the same folks endlessly lecturing about "situational awareness" , while believing there's a reasonable chance they'll be walking out of the...

    Paddle holsters

I feel that paddle-style holsters are a noticeable improvement over IWB, (which I've never liked), and just as good, if not more comfortable and practical than standard belt holsters. IMHO, YMMV, yadda yadda,yadda..

    Paddle Holsters

I'm a long time fan of Fobus paddle-style holsters. I have one that was included with a used G48, and I've found that if I put it over on my left side ( crossdraw), I barely notice it when sitting in the driver seat ( on my normal right hip, pressure on the butt-end from the seat makes it very...

According to the info I have, looks like late '75.

Will somone either loan me three hundred bucks or talk me out of the M&P 40s that are out there.

I recently got my interest piqued on my favorite statewide classified site, by a S&W P99 ( Smith/ Walther hybrid, a design I'm a fan of) that was only $250, IIRC. I started to message the guy,,then double checked the listing, and saw that it was a .40, and I bailed. One of my personal rules...

    Aluminum Case Ammo

I used to regularly buy the Federal aluminum from Walmart. I never had an issue, and even now I'd buy all I could get, if i saw it at what it cost 10+ years ago. Never an issue with the Blazer aluminum either, but I never used it as much as I have that WM/ Federal.

What was your first Smith and Wesson??

My first Smith, was also my very first pistol. It was a nice deal on a NIB Model 469 9mm, that I scored at a local gunshow, back around '85. A couple years later, I asked an excellent area gunstore about trading it towards a new Sig P226, and they apologetically offered me.......more than I had...

KNIFE SHARPENING SYSTEM - ESPECIALLY FOR THE NOVICE OR A PERSON WITH LESS PATIENCE

Another big fan of the Spyderco Sharpmaker !! I won an ebay action for mine, maybe 10 years ago, cost me just under $50, IIRC. The things are idiot-proof, and really simplify the sharpening process.

Spyderco knives - did a bit of research this morning and learned quite a bit!

LOL, I'd completely forgotten I have a Native, buried away somewhere !! Now I wanna go dig it up and play with it!! I keep a ( Japanese-made VG10) Dragonfly close by, with a small stash of tools I keep handy I'm my bedroom. That thing is practically a surgical scalpel. I had 2 Delicas,( I...

    Chief Special Saturday

I have a set of those Hogue Bantams, as well ( I had to Google them to be sure). They're OK, but honestly, they don't feel much different than the factory Airweight grips, to me. I had a set of the rosewood laminate Pachmayr grips, and they definitely provided a better, fuller grip, but they...

    Chief Special Saturday

Those grips looked familiar, so I rummaged through my parts drawer, and found what I was I was thinking might be some Uncle Mike's. I'm not exactly sure where I got them. Are these Uncle Mike's? Edit: Yep, I just pulled them apart, and both say "Uncle Mike's Smith & Wesson K&L rnd. butt" on...

What gun are you on the lookout for?

My longtime rifle wish list includes a Steyr SSG sniper rifle, and a IMI Galil in both .308 and 5.56. My pistol wish list includes all the LNIB old, stainless S&W revolvers I see posted here by that guy up around Athens ( I believe) See? I ain't asking for much! ;) Edit: LOL, I thought I was...

The most rusted stainless steel gun I have ever seen in person - a PSA!

Years ago, I got into nicer air rifles, and I started using a protecting oil made by Beeman, that was highly recommended on the forums. While the airgun phase eventually passed, I still have and use that oil, particularly on the bores and exteriors of blued guns, put away in their cases. I've...

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

I've always had good results with PPU , and I looked closely at this same ammo recently, but it seemed to have a lot of negative reviews, largely due to the very soft lead used, and how badly the lead residue stuck to their bores.
