Should the numbers on the yoke match the serial # of the gun? If they should and they don't, how much does that affect the price when buying/selling?

The grips are Craig Spegel grips, but I can't remember what type of wood they are made from.

I have a nice Model 58 (blued), no dash, for sale. It is not LNIB or mint as it does have some wear on the barrel and cylinder, but the wear is minor. It's a nice gun but I'm scaling back on my quantity of collection and variety of calibers, so this M58 will be going to another who appreciates...

Also of interest would be the story of your friend that owned it as it sounds like he was a man of excellent character and taste. I suspect he was a veteran of WWII and if he passed on any remembrances of his time in service. I always like to read or hear a veteran's experiences as each is unique.
