WTS Smith and Wesson 36 Flat Latch $300 - FTF Georgia

It's been a while since I looked it up in the catalog but I believe it was made around 1960. This gun does...

WTS Wood J frame RB boot grips - Sold

They do not. They have something stamped inside but not easily read like on yours. Also a difference I noticed is these have a metal pin in the front, which to me seems a little redundant since there's a pin on the frame of the gun. The more I look at it, the more I think it does in fact say...

WTS Wood J frame RB boot grips - Sold

Thank you very much. There is a ink stamp inside the grip thats mostly illegible but it does look like the last part of it says "mont" so you are probably right. I've adjusted my price based on this info as well

Good points. Although I probably wouldn't put a ton of ammo though it, better to not have to worry about it. Thanks everyone

    1917 Trade

Hello all, I've been offered a model 1917 in a trade. Someone has cut the barrel down to just past the ejector rod, reattached the sight and refinished it. I also assume the lanyard hardware is gone as it has pachmayr grips. While I know this wouldn't have much in the way of collector value I'm...

    My new Chief's Special

Made what I hope was a good trade today, my S&W 915 for a model 36. The person I traded with said this 36 was his grandfathers and that he may be able to turn up boxes/receipts etc. which he hopefully will mail to me. Serial number is 13915X. If I understand the SCSW catalog right this puts it...

Let's see your Model 19 grip pics!

I kick myself on a daily basis for ever selling this gun. At least I didn't lose any money on it.

choosing my first smith and wesson .357 magnum

I agree, if you don't plan to carry the 686 wins easily. The 60 is a J frame which is much smaller than the 686 and only holds 5 cartridges. The extra size, weight and barrel length of the 686 will make .357 magnums much more enjoyable.

I apologize in advance if these kinds of postings are not permitted. I thought those on this forum might be interested in something I spotted today. Bullseye in Lawrenceville Ga has a .38 bodyguard for $499. It is blued, has a flat latch and diamond grips. I didn't take it out of the case but...
