This is a great gun, but its a little bigger/heavier than I want to carry.
Sig P229R .357 Sig
Extra .40 SW barrel (from Sig, $150 new)
Factory Nightsights (gun made 2008)
Box / paperwork
2 mags (total)
12 rounds of .357 Sig Speer Gold Dots (1 mag full)
24 rounds of .40S&W Federal Hydrashocks (2 mags full)
I have shot 20 rounds of the Gold Dots through the .357 Sig barrel and 25 rounds of the Hydrashocks through the .40 S&W barrel. It was reliabile with both barrels and produced very tight groups.
The P229 is identical in .357 or .40 with exception of the barrel, so there's no reliability loss when changing calibers. The gun is also not marked which caliber it came as originally, but the box label indicates it was originally .357 sig.
Overall its in good shape, but there are a few nicks on the trigger guard and light rail. My assumption would be it was carried in a plastic or kydex holster at some point. These can be easily touched up by Birchwood Casey AlumaBlack.
In order of preference I'm looking for:
$650 firm for the complete package
$550 firm for the package minus the .357 barrel and ammo
M&P .45 compact (preferably with thumbsafety) + $100 in cash/ammo/accessories OR even trade if I keep the .357sig barrel and ammo.
Glock 30SF (Must be SF) + $100 in cash/ammo/accessories OR even trade if I keep the .357sig barrel and ammo
I may entertain other offers. I want a compact gun with a light rail but not something so small and light that I can't stand to put 100-150 rounds through it in one range trip. My goal is a good all-round range/home/carry gun. Feel free to send me REASONABLE offers that actually have a chance of adding up to what you want from me. I'm willing to trade down for the two guns above because I really want them, but probably won't trade down for anything else.
I'll lower my price to $625 if I can meet the buyer at Bullseye in Lawrenceville - this offer only applies to purchasing the whole package in cash.
This is listed on other forums so if I have conflicting "I'll take it" posts it will be determined by time stamp of the post.
I'm in Gwinnett and will need to stay within a reasonable driving distance of Lawrenceville. In general I prefer to meet at Bullseye in Lawrenceville or Classic Marksman in Norcross
