It's a threaded barrel shroud from Tacticool22 - purely cosmetic but I like the baddassery factor.- McGAP

New rifle - very happy.
I got my new Tacticool Plinkeriffic 15-22 all decked out, hit my local range, and had a lot of fun today. I was pleasantly surprised by the trigger, and the overall feel of the rifle. 150 rounds of CCI Mini Mags with no issues at all. According to the Interweb, it was supposed to jam and blow...- McGAP

My First S&W Rifle
Congrats! I just picked up an M&P 15-22 on Friday, took off the Kruger Tac-Driver scope, put on a 1-4X Nikon M223 and had a riot! I love this rifle!- McGAP
