Hello All,
I remember some time back in the mid 1990's at a now long since gone gun shop named ILA in West Chester, PA (a good gun shop when it was in its prime) a Saturday promotional event was held called "Smith and Wesson Day."
ILA was a stocking dealer for S&W and always had a good...
+1 to any love for the pre-lock 649! The only hitch is: as per your wish, the cylinder my be switch-o-change-o...but you'd still have issue with the barrel and its dedicated caliber.
That aside...the 649 has always been a winner IMHO.
Hello All,
The thread title pretty much says it all. I think a K frame cylinder could hold 8 shots of the new .327 Fed Mag round, (the 632 J frame hold 6 of the .327) Model 65 style fixed "gutter" sights would be NICE.
A 3" barrel with a round-out the revolver nicely. It would make a...
It seems some folks are being a bit harsh on the NG series. I agree that they have a set of features that do not appeal to all but worked a real niche for others. For me, I don't understand why they weren't made with the classic fixed gutter sights instead of the C&S ED sights, (good sights in...
Hello All,
This is my first post in some time. Just getting back into the revolver thing after a short break. I just ordered a S&W 632 Pro series in .327 Fed-Mag (2 1/8th inch barrel & night sights.) Its the first J frame to get my attention, (enough to shell-out for a NIB one...) since the...
Hello All:
I know this isn't firearm related, but I have had such good luck asking, (& finding) on this fine forum regarding other collectables, I thought it might be worth a shot.
I am looking to buy 1940-50's era Framburg or Dale Company 1:36 scale slush-cast metal recognition...
Thanks for the tip & information. After doing some sniffing around, I believe some of the members here were correct: My DW D-11 is either a 1970 or 1971 gun. I find it very interesting the subtle differences in your 79' 15-2 has to my D-11. The forward cylinder latch is smooth vs. the serrated...
Hey Everybody,
Just wanted to jump in to say thanks for the responses to my post. I thought I might get a bit beat-up for some brand cross-over...but I should have known better when it comes to the good stock of this forum.
Thanks for the opinions & information. They are appreciated.
Hello All:
I am known to stray from my wheelgun Brand, (S&W) from time to time. I just picked this up today. Its a Dan Wesson D-11 .357 magnum revolver, (6 shooter) with a 2.5" barrel, (fixed sights.)
I got it for a fair price & it has a really nice solid feel to it, (circa mid/late...
Hello All-
I have a 65 LS that unfortunatley has some shallow pitting under the wood grip panel area, (fool I am for not asking on a on-line purchase...buyer beware.)
I plan on having it re-bead-blasted by S&W in hope it will get rid or reduce the evidence of corrosion. While I am at...
Good question... +1 for wanting an answer to this question: Can you mount a 2 piece barrel on a S&W frame that originally had a 1 piece traditional design barrel?
Thanks for asking it...hope someone knows.
Here you go...here's mine albeit a tired so-so quality pic. It is a great gun...not everyone's taste but a great gun just the same.
I was wondering...for those who have this model & removed the coating...what is the best method for a clean professional job? Will S&W do it?
Happy Thanksgiving & thank you to Lee and all the fine members of the Smith & wesson Forum! :)
I appreciate all the good information I have been gifted here.
I am all for Asian art but wow...that is the definition of the wrong "vehicle" for display. Pun intended.
It looks like a class of 3rd graders won a radio contest to paint a JDF fighter.
I think Gamera or Godzilla would have looked much better airbrushed on that F-15. Just my 2 cents...
