    I have owned a 457 for a year now. Shoots everything, every time. Shoot it for a while with the factory grips, then put on a set of Hogue rubber grips. It's like getting a brand new gun. I really like my 457 a lot.

    model 457 Hogue grips

    Just finished mounting my new Hogue grips on my model 457 compact .45 acp. WOW these things feel good in the hand. Easy to install, fit great and feel wonderful in the hand. This was like getting a new gun for Christmas.

    457

    IMHO just about anything you hit center mass 8 times with anything .45 caliber is going down. I have 185 grain hp in mine. I suppose hotter is better, but I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it.
