IMHO just about anything you hit center mass 8 times with anything .45 caliber is going down. I have 185 grain hp in mine. I suppose hotter is better, but I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it.
Got to visit my new to me 457 today. Got it used, but it shows character. I get to bring it home Saturday or Sunday (Wisconsin has a 48-hour wait) and I'll be heading to the range as soon as I'm able. I'll get pictures up when she's home. I want to thank everyone here for all their comments that helped me with this decision.
I'm afraid a 457 will have to be my next purchase. I've been too impressed by my 908. And this coming from a guy who learned centerfire shooting on a Colt Guv'mint model back 30+ years ago.
