I have ~3000 rounds through my Shield 40. The only issue was with Fiocchi 170gr FMJ flat nose. It would not feed at all. Other than that it's a great gun.

Glad it worked for you. My Shield 40 would not feed it at all. Couldn't even get one round off. My M&P 40 Pro ate every round with no issues.

IMO I would get a full size or compact M&P if you want to mount a tactical light to it for HD. Otherwise, if your budget doesn't permit another handgun purchase I would get a hand held tactical light.

I have the Crossbreed for my Shield 40 and love it. No issues at all.

I have the SW-345 on my Shield 40. I prefer them over the 3 dot system.
