A thread for flawless Shields

Same here Dino1, I've only got a couple 100 through my Shied .40 but it shoots perfect and on the point of aim, at least after I made a slight adjustment. Love it!

Got my Shield 9 at the end of November and have put 1000 rnds down range. I had one FTE and that was in the very first Mag. I attribute that to just being new and everything very tight. After that it has been flawless and I carry it every day. I love this gun and trust it with my life.

My 9mm Shield has been flawless and super accurate. I haven't even lost the dot from the front site like many have.

Heh heh! I guess I should mention that all three of the white dots have fallen out of my sights.

Funny. That doesn't adversely affect my ability to aim it as much as I thought it would.

I have ~3000 rounds through my Shield 40. The only issue was with Fiocchi 170gr FMJ flat nose. It would not feed at all. Other than that it's a great gun.

Owned my .40 for nearly a year. About 500 rounds of assorted ammo. Only one ftf, I didn't insert the magazine completely.

With the constant suggestion to reload that I saw all through the panic on various gun forums, I wonder how many kabooms and malfunctions are from reloads then and now. When I start reading a thread about a failure, the second I see "reload" I instantly start with the assumption that it is indeed the problem no matter how long they've done it. Not all malfunctions are from reloads, but it's not surpriding when it is and if ammo type isn't mentioned, it's suspect until it is.

I've yet to have a malfunction with any of my M&Ps which includes two Shield 9s using various weights and brands of ammo.

I love my 9mm Shield it is as good as advertised. It eats any ammo I put through it including +P, commercial, and my reloads. It has replaced my 3913 as my CCW mainly because I shoot it better. Although I do miss the 3913 at times, but it's time to move on.

About 600 rounds through my 9. Not one problem. Its the gun I carry 90% of the time.

I love my 9mm Shield. Eats anything I put into it. After close to 1000 rounds of various ammo, that is 9mm,.45,.357,8mm,and 7mm mag. Tried a .410, couldn't get the slide back far enough. Just kidding!

To be serious, close to 1000 rounds and not one glitch. I am very proud of my 9mm Shield.

Friends to all, John

My .40 Shield has shot about 1500 rounds with no KaBoom.
WWB 180 grain FMJ several hundred rounds to break it in.
Winchester Ranger T 165 grain 300 rounds.
Winchester Ranger T 180 grain 400 rounds.
Winchester PDX1 ($$$) 165 grain 250 rounds.
Federal HST 180 grain about half a case (500 rounds).
I plan on finishing the case of Federal HST 180 grain rounds then buy a case of Federal HST 165 grain rounds.
If my Shield .40 goes KaBoom, me or my widow will post it here. Or, visit my website.

I picked up my Shield 9mm from the FFL a couple days after Christmas. So far, 461 rounds with 1 FTE at around #125. That could have been me or the UMC ammo. I have tried 3 different brands of SD ammo, and 5 brands of target ammo. Life is good.

Last trip to the range was 201 rounds flawlessly.

Another 250rds through my .40 with the 9mm conversion barrel. And also another 100rds of .40 180gr PDX-1 through it for some SD training.

Still flawless.

Got my Shield 9 last September and have around 600 rounds down range. Zero issues. Just a great gun.

I obtained my new Shield 9 mm on 07/19/2012 which was test fired on 07/03/2012. I have used 115 gr FMJ Lawman, Blazer Brass, Fiocchi, Atlanta Arms reloads, and Freedom new manufactured with no issues. It handles Geco 124 gr FMJ fine too. Winchester Whitebox 115 gr JHP and Golden Saber 124 gr +p JHP have been tested with no issues. Always bang; never Kaboom. 600 - 700 rounds total guess-timated. Furthermore, each session amazes me how such a great CCW is so fun to practice with and simple to shoot very well. The stock trigger, both the pull and reset, have become very nice and are still improving through use.

I know Glock claimed the title "PERFECTION"
But that's what my Shield 9mm has been since June 2012.
350 rounds.

Probably 1600 rounds through my 40 and I had one nosedive, racked the slide and it went in fine. Don't believe it was the gun. Biggest problem I have is I'm always low and left, but that's me I'm pretty sure.
