I have a used 4006 that my son gave me. He bought it used. What's the trick to finding out the date of manufacture according to serial#. This is not a CHP gun and has the hole in the hammer which I have read means that it's a forged hammer, not MIM. Thanks for any info.

Thank you! The reason I asked is because whomever last tightened it, must've gorrillia'd the thing on because, exerting what I consider normal pressure in either direction produces no results as far as loosening it. It's tight!
