I find that I need to buy a set of RB J frame stocks for my ‘91 vintage model 60. To be sure there are a lot of them out there but I want them to be correct in appearance. I assume I need the type with the stainless steel stock circles but I don’t know what the checkering pattern looks like...

So if the British didn’t own them, why weren’t they just returned to the US? Why the commercial proofs, sometimes modifications and sale of them?

My BSR has British proofs on it which shows it left the country, but it does not have any Broad Arrows or any unit issue marks.

Why would you need to shoot either one ?

It would be my guess that someone thought they were dealing with a newer model and tried to unscrew the rod by turning the rod clockwise . Happens the other way also.
