I'm not a gunsmith, but I play one on TV. I bought two 38 M&P 4th change revolvers. One was really hard to cock in
single action. Took it apart and found the main spring was a Bubba home made special. Bought a used one on Ebay,
replaced it and it worked beautifully.

I understand a lot of coin shop owners are being inundated with 90% junk silver and can't sell them. So, they
are selling to wholesalers who are selling to refiners who are melting them down. Might cause a shortage o 90%
down the road.
I have been gravitating towards the older pre-war era S&W revolvers, especially the M&P's. I like the fit and finish as the
craftsmanship of that era was second to none, and they didn't have CNC technology. I prefer the ones that show honest
wear, but no rust or pitting due to misuse. If they...
I personally like lanyard rings on military revolvers. I'd look for one on Ebay if that gun was mine. Those grips are early
post war sharp shoulder magnas and are worth something. Sell those and use funds to find replacement 1917 grips if
you want. Nice revolver.
I don't quite understand it, so I don't invest in it. I do know that it exist in the internet sphere somewhere. My concern
is you won't be able to access it if
the internet goes down. I prefer precious metals. Something tangible that you can
hold in your hand.
