I know this is an extremely old thread. But this question is for you guys who are instructors and have spent decades teaching people to shoot. Do you ever see "limp wrist" issues with 22lr handguns? OR see them as much as you do with 9mm .380 or .40 handguns?
I posted a link to my video on this earlier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LZRQgaGtc8
I would definitely go for the Sport version unless you like the quad rail of the OG 15-22.
And I'm not trying to be critical at all, but the A1 refers to the flash hider, and both rifles have the exact...
I've never really looked for a barrel shroud, but make sure that you use a barrel vise instead of a standard AR15 upper receiver vise block to remove the flash hider.
I really appreciate it. Sweet rifle. Here is the range video I made from yesterday.
Plinker Tactical mags work fine. The uppers are interchangeable between OG and Sport. Appears to have the same issue with the bolt catch releasing very easily with too strong of a bolt catch spring. Though...
I tore into both rifles for comparison last night. They are very similar. Trigger pull is a little over 5 lbs for each of my rifles. They pull identically. The extractor does not appear to be different. The new rifle is going to be very popular with its given MSRP. Here is the video comparison I...
Extractors
I pulled the extractor out of both rifles today. Original and Sport. I took a couple screenshots from the video I am working on. To my naked eye, I can't see any difference.
I don't know if this applies here, but it appears as if Winchester's WB 22 has had an improvement in quality lately. Newer batches are more consistent. I haven't had any problems with newer WWB out of my 22 rifles lately including my 15-22, H&K G36K-22, Beretta ARX 160-22, Mossberg 715t.
