    Quaker steel oats...

They got oat milk now so you could drink it instead of eating it. I guess they cook it then squeeze it to get all the liquid out, bottle it up and ship it out. Makes ya think.

    617-6 review & value

I got a newish 648 a few months ago for $755 from GB with local pickup. had damaged rear site that I will replace. I feel I got a fair deal. It would have been over 800 with shipping and FFL transfer fees. (648 is 22 mag version)

    K masterpiece lubrication

Is Ballistol used as a cleaner and a lubricant or just a cleaner? seems like it leaves a heavy coating if you spray it on and then leave it awhile. seems like it might gum up the innards if you used it as a lubricant.

    Grip refinishing Renaissance wax

Hey, I also have a set of target grips to refinish. How do you handle the checkered area? Could I use stripper with a toothbrush and then rinse of with paint thinner after? Then after grips are all dried out, apply boiled linseed oil and brush it in to checkering with a different tooth brush...

    648 dash question

There is a 48-4 on GB that I would love to have but I'm betting it will sell north of 1k before its done. looks mint and has box with all stuff included. I like the 4" also but the wasted powder in that short of a barrel bothers me. 6" probably wastes powder also but seems like people...

    648 dash question

So what I'm trying to get at is... are the 648's produced in early 2000's the same as the ones that came out again in 2019? were both groups 648-2? thanks

    648 dash question

Howdy, I'm considering bidding on a 648 on GB. Is the most recent production 648 a dash 2? I'm thinking the 648 has been dash 2 ever since they added the lock but not sure. thanks,

    Cylinder wear line

Just an idea so don't laugh, but how about a small thin layer of plastic such as bed liner material on the cylinder stop. thin enough and slick enough to not reduce function. wouldn't a plastic surfaced cylinder stop reduce the line?

    Shoot enough to be scared?

different strokes for different folks. I am similar to you in that I don't go shooting very often. Get to the local range maybe twice a year, spend maybe 30 minutes to an hour shooting. I get back to my home town, which is about 2.5 hours away, for hunting and shooting with my childhood...

    Nebraska

I've been a long time lurker. Thought I should finally start posting occasionally. Thanks for all the information over the years. I have been into the newer, stainless, Smith revolvers for a long time. Last year I acquired a 17-3 out of one hoarder house and then later acquired a 4013 out of...

    Pre -29 restoration

That gun is beautiful!! I would leave it as is. I bet you could get a ton of ammo in trade for that thing.
