I used a green colored 3m pad that my wife has for cleaning pots and pans.
you can buy them at just about any store. look in the kitchen cleaning dept.
when you use it.remember to polish in one direction only. do not go back and forth. hope this helps.

I had my 586 cut for moon clips about 5 years ago I don't regret it, but I find it very hard to find clips for it. I have to order them from the people that did the work on it, And like your friend said the are thin, bend easy and that can be a pain in the rear... and they are a lot more...
don't know of anyone coating their bullets with moly, but you can buy them already coated from a company in texas called precision bullets.. I haven't used them. but have heard they work real well with little or no leading. I use alox it seems to work well for me....
