Gorgeous old Colt! Is it possible it is an original in .41 LC? I don’t know much about the Colt revolvers, but hope to begin my education (via C&R) very soon.

That’s a beauty, congratulations! I picked one of those up used as my first handgun for $150(!!!) in 1990. Foolishly sold it to help fund the education I’ve squandered😂. The older blued Dan Wessons are gems.

I have two 856s; one 2” Ultralight, one 3” Stainless. If the quality of my two copies is par for current production Taurus, I’d have no problem buying more.

I don’t know if he fired it. There is a turn line, but if he did fire it, he cleaned it up well afterward. I may do just that; shoot some wadcutters through it a few times a year, and bore my sons with legends of the Old Patrol (i.e. before I was in).

Neat revolvers! About that holster in your photo; where did you find it, and at what position does it work best? Also, are all of the moon clip 9mms .380acp friendly as well? Not that I'd carry .380 over 9mm in the same size gun. But it might make for fun range sessions.

I live on acreage in PNW bear country. This is what I carry. By your criteria, I'd go with the model 60 or a 3"-ish 686. Not as light, but life is full of compromise. Or, I would tearfully abandon the revolvers, and carry a Glock 29. At least it isn't upsetting when it gets scratched.
