    Perfected Model 38 S&W

Don't have the capacity to do pics. (old flip phone) If I can get my wife to help , I will try to get some. This is my second Perfected Model , but is in much much better shape than my other one. Both are neat little guns, I knew the .38 was old due to the 4 digit serial no. Thanks for the info.

    Perfected Model 38 S&W

Recently picked up two more handguns that that I really needed. The first is a Perfected Model with a four digit serial number , 9xxx. The gun is in 92 to 93 % shape with perfect matching number grips. I would like to know about when it was produced . The other is a hand ejector .32 long also in...

Update: Scored a Non-RM with HP barrel wearing 'Cokes'.

I have an old registered magnum barrel, six and one half inch . The bore is perfect , but it would need a refinish. No pitting, but discolored. It has a King pat. front sight on it. It is out at my shop , but I can look at it tomorrow and let you know the reg. number. Let me know if you might...

    Early Smith Mod 41

Thanks, I got to thinking about the gun (Haven't shot it in several years) and I recalled that when I bought it , it had a 5 inch sporter wt. barrel on it. I found the long barrel somewhere and put it on because it was easier to shoot. It's a very smooth working gun. Thanks again .

    Early Smith Mod 41

I have an old model 41 Smith that I am curious about as to it's date of manufacture . It is a long barrel gun with the muzzle brake. The serial number is 23938 , and it is marked model 41 on the right side. Any help would be appreciated .

They are asking 1200 or 1300 dollars for it. I don't remember exactly . No box or papers.

Thanks for the information . I think I'm going to pass on it , but it sure is a beautiful gun.

    27-2 info

I am looking at a 27-2 four inch nickel Smith . It is as new. I believe it has been fired , but looks pristine. What were the production dates, begining and ending , for it's run. I thought they had pinned barrels , but this one doesn't . Did Smith make another run of these in the last several...

    S&W 27-1

I've had several 27's and pre 27's and and never got them to shoot into one jagged hole at 25 yards , especially offhand. What kind of ammo were you using ?

    S&W pre Victory question

Numrich has original grips for the victory. Just bought a set for mine about a week or two ago. I think they were 19.95 plus shipping. Well used but not abused.

    S&W pre Victory question

I cast some 200 gr. rn's for my Victory the other day . Loaded with 1.5 grains of Bullseye , they did very well . Two to three inches at 15 yards. My book shows that to be a maximum load , and they showed no pressure , dropping out of the cylinder easily .

    k22 48 or 49

I have one , serial number 42807 . I was told when I purchased it that it was made in 1948. From what I'm reading here this must not be the case. Could it have been sitting at S&W for several years before being shipped out ?

    information on a Victory model

32-20 is one of my favorite rounds. I have a Win 53 takedown , a Rem Mod 25R carbine and a Smith HE. with a 6 inch bbl. As much fun as I can take. All shoot extremely well.

    information on a Victory model

Got my magnifying glass out and looked again . The stamp is sharp and clear , but there is nothing visible there. Maybe it was tilted when they applied the stamp. I borrowed a mold from a friend of mine that casts . It makes 200 grain replicas of the original British round. I cast about 60 of...
