You`ve made a good (if not great) purchase. I would not be scared to use it on elk with the 220 grain Speer bullets, or heavy 200s. Lots of stories and info on marlinowners.com. Enjoy!
I would gulp a bit and certainly try to get the price lower "but" in recent conversations about 22s, which if I recall correctly, you might have been part of one or the other, it seems that if one is interested in a stock 22 it`s going to cost $400ish and the nominal trigger upgrade which...
I have a Victory that I`ve had for a good while as well as A Ruger MK4 22/45 and a High Std. Supermatic Citation. Leaving the Citation out of the conversation because it is in different class I have found that the more I shoot the Victory the better it is and that includes the trigger. In some...
Well Chief, I might be the only taker so far, but yes, I went to the Richmond Gunshow 2 weeks ago and bought one. A brief story why I went there: I have a Cabelas credit card and all this month on Mondays they are offering 10% off including firearms. I am a vet and I get 5% additional for that...
40-9 Conversion
Have a M&P40 1.0 with 3.6" barrel. Bought an OEM barrel from Midway and picked up a mag elsewhere. Has never failed to fire or function (and shoots fairly accurately)"but" only ejects the empties about 4 ft while ejecting 40s figuratively to the next county. I do not make a...
Which 22?
I have a Ruger MK4 22/45, a S&W Victory, and a HS Supermatic Citation. The HS is still the "King" as far as accuracy, trigger pull, etc. The Victory was/is a standard model but when I noticed that S&W came out with a Target model (might be mis-naming it) which had a thumb rest grip and...
Little Things
Good post by Rick H and if I may add one more little thing in the same vein: Lock your storm doors (if so equipped). Yes, try to figure out who might be ringing or knocking before you answer but that storm door might give you a couple extra seconds you might need. Hard to do with...
Model 10-.357
I`m going completely by memory here but there was a post and replies some years back that essentially said there were 10-5s chambered in .357 and they were for a French police department. ???
Norma 22
I`m a thumbs up on the Tac 22 Norma. All 3 of my Autoloaders (Ruger 22/45, S&W Victory, and High Standard Supermatic Citation) like it. It does feel greasy but once you`re past that it shoots great.
