Hello... this is normal. I'll never forget when I bought my first gun the S&W 9mm... I took it a part several times before I shot it and the lever stayed put... ran some rounds on it cleaned it and now it moves and I have to hold it forward to take the slide off... It not a big deal. I too was...
all of what your explaining is normal... When I first got my m&p 9 the take down lever was very stiff and after I shot it it loosened up to the point where I have to do the same as you and hold it down. I've been on the forums a few months and I have seen quite a few posts about the take down...
Wow! I must be rough on my 9mm... I just got it about a month ago and have put 500 or so rounds and I can see some wear on the top where the slide covers the "9 mm" on the top. I also have a few other marks but I guess I can't complain, it's a great gun!
I agree with Woodlark... I'd get the compact that way you can conceal... and then if you pick up the other gun you have more options. I want to get the 45c, I have heard quite a few people say it's very accurate and a soft shooting 45... You can't go wrong with a S&W!

Oh okay I was wondering what was up with that, I wasn't that worried about it. I've shot about 200-250 rounds out of my 9 so far. I love it! My aim is getting better each time I go and shoot. I haven't had a chance to go to a range and really test how I shoot as I've been shooting with a buddy...
I picked up my gun yesterday! I love it! I cleaned it last night and loaded it. I Haven't shot it yet. I have about 200 rounds... Mostly FMJ (Federal -10 bucks per at walmart)... for practice. I bought one case JHP (Winchester white box). I was going to shoot it today but my range is getting...
thanks! I plan on taking the Concealed Weapons Permit class in about a month or so. It can take up to 3 months after turning in all my information to get my permit, I figure that will give me some time to practice shooting my s&w 9mm... and save up some money for the compact 9mm or compact...
