    There are good people around

Are you talking about the Federal 130 grain "micro" bullet Ed? Will you be loading it with BE-86?

Is a neck expanding die necessary?

I have used this die for .30-30 Win cast bullet loads Lee Universal Neck Expanding Die Works well.

Found Alliant powder on the shelf....

Wilson sells a stand for their trimmer. It accepts a clamp mechanism to hold the case holders securely in the trimmer rails as you turn the cutter handle. It works pretty well. You can order direct from LE Wilson or check Midway, Mid-South, etc.

    Bullseye Load Data Please

Hodgdon won't have data for Bullseye as it is an Alliant powder. I have used 4.3 grains Bullseye with a Berrys or Xtreme 125 plated bullet with a light crimp. This is in .38 Special brass. Shoots pretty good from my revolvers. This load is below the starting load for a 125 jacketed in Speer...

    Question?

Is it CCI Blazer ammo? They make Blazer (aluminum cases in centerfire hand gun calibers) and Blazer Brass ( brass cases). I have fired plenty of both and it is OK for practice/plinking type use. I would suggest the brass cased stuff. It costs a little more but is completely reloadable. I...

    Any 30 Carbine Loaders Here?

I have used Xtreme or Berrys 110 grain plated with W296 and CCI #400. Most manuals show a max of 15.0 grains for W296/H110 and I didn't want to exceed the max recommended reduction of 3% with this powder so I load at 14.5 grains. Sorry, no chrono numbers but seems OK for plinking. These bullets...

Anybody still using Bullseye? Here it is.

Hodgdon Titegroup is a fast powder similar to Alliant Bullseye. Care must be used with both (and ALL powders) to avoid double or triple charging hand gun cases.

    45 ACP reloads

The Lee Bulge Buster kit uses the corresponding caliber Lee Factory Crimp Die (not included). The crimp sleeve and adjuster are removed from the FCD, then the cases are pushed through the carbide sizer ring in the FCD with the pusher included in the kit. OP- if your overall length and crimp...

    N110

Assuming you are loading .357 Mag cases, Hornady 9th edition shows VIHT N-110 with 158 gr. XTP bullets start at 11.4 gr. and 13.1 gr. MAX. This is with a Win. small pistol magnum primer. Hornady likes this powder for .357 mag loads saying it provides near top velocities with less flash...

"A" Mark on CCI 500 Small Pistol Primers

I found this on an old "The High Road" thread, note reference to "A" mark primers; From: Site Map | Web.com Speer Recalls Gold Dot Ammunition Speer Gold Dot Ammunition -380 Auto, 9mm, 9mm+P, and 40 S&W. An intermittent, low frequency occurrence of primer misfires may occur under certain...

"A" Mark on CCI 500 Small Pistol Primers

I don't know about the packaged primers themselves, but I do have some loaded Speer ammo (Gold Dot) that has "A" stamps on the primers. This ammo is several (10 ?) years old and is in the old gold red and black 50 round boxes. I remember contacting Speer about the significance of the "A" stamp...

    38 Special +P

Check my post (# 5) concerning Starlines .38 +P brass. Here is a quote from their site- 38 SPL+P has no difference from the standard 38 SPL, other than headstamp designation for load segregation. This is due to the fact that our standard case design will handle +P pressures with no problems.

    38 Special +P

.38 Special pressure tops out at 17,000 psi- .38 Special +P at 20,000 psi according to my Speer manual. Starline says the only difference in THEIR +P brass is the headstamp for load segregation. If your revolver isn't a .357 OR marked .38 +P, you may want to ask the gun manufacturer.
