    Loading Mistake on 38-Special 158XTP instead of 125XTP w/HS6

Big difference in using the same data in shorter vs longer case. The mistake you made is not safe to correct by shooting the loads in a .357. It's like deep seating .357 loads. Deep seating causes dangerously high pressures. It's really not that much work to pull 100 loads with your impact...

215gr SWC 44 Special loads for my 44 Magnum pair?

Cast and micro-groove Not to stir things up but the thing with micro-groove not shooting cast is just a wives tale. I shoot plenty of cast in my .444 and it does just fine. In fact, all of my Marlin micro-groove .22's shoot lead OK.

44 Magnum 215 LSWC GC Whats your fun load?

215 gr. bullets? Whatever happened to the request for 215 gr. bullet loads?

    clays,357?

Clays, not for plated bullets in .357 I just shot some HSM plated 158 gr. over 3.5 gr. Clays. Got 2-bullets stuck in the barrel (2-separate times). Sticking to my HS6 loads for minimum from now on. They are real accurate at 8.0 gr. and a cast NEI p/c swc with a CCI 400 SRP. GP 100 6” barrel.

    Powder recommendation for 38 +P?

Different strokes I guess. I have had great success using reduced loads of blue dot in my .444 Marlin with remarkable consistency. 14-18 gr. and a 255 gr.Keith style cast swc. I think one has to do some experimenting on their own. Don’t give up on blue dot until you’ve tried it. Just like...

    657 .41 Magnum 4 inch

I too, never thought that I needed one until I shot my old high school buddy's 57. He said that since I shot it so well, he was going to give it to me. I now have it and am thoroughly enjoying shooting it. Starline had the brass (God bless those guys!) and a nice fellow on the Castboolits...

    .41 Mag light loads

I just got back from the range and used the 6.7 gr. WW231 load & an Arsenal P/C 220 gr. Also, an Accurate 218 gr. RNFP Gas-Checked design (also powder coated). The Accurate mold bullet lived up to it’s name. 1-1/2” 5-shots at 25 yds. from a rest (my eyes are 71 so good shooting for me!)...

    Old School .22 Target Rifles

A guy before me snatched one of those up right in front of me at the gun store but brought it back the next day. This time, noone beat me to it. Love that rifle!

    2400 vs #9

2400 dirty? I use 2400 in heavy handgun loads, .410 shotgun loads and medium cast bullet loads in rifles and don’t find it to be the least bit dirty. I guess “ dirty” might be a relative term. I just never have thought of it as being dirty. Now, the old AL8 is what I would call dirty!

    I'm now powder coating

I started PC myself about a year ago. One of the guys on another forum I belong to tries to make a big deal out of how he'd never quit using lube as if to make a political statement but most everyone I shoot with is on board with P C. Very easy to do. I shake mine in the powder with the...

    .41 Mag light loads

I guess dirty is relative. I don’t see that much “dirty” with Unique myself but I’m also a black powder shooter. To me, black powder is dirty. With Unique, I’m still in business after 70 rounds today. Even so, always interested in new loads that can make use of available powder.

Is the .41 magnum an "obsolete" cartridge?

Factory ammo? Yeah, With handloads being so economical and versatile, I really think they prove their usefulness in cartridges like this one. Just had a Model 57 given to me by a best friend and am looking forward to doing some shooting with it. Feels like the perfect handgun for me.

    The .32-20 Hand Ejector Thread

According to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, I have a Mo del of 1902. It has a serial number of 7xxx. Could sure use a new barrel. Kind of rough looking on the inside. Will have to load up some nice mild cast boolit loads & take her out and see how it does. I'm stuck working now for...
