Serious court + warranty question on reloads

Common sense died with dignity, self-respect, respect, courtesy and responsibility at the end the last century. Now the name of the game is "Who can I blame my self-created problems on that's not me?" :(

Serious court + warranty question on reloads

You are entirely correct, they do not specifically mention the reason for not firing reloads. It does however state in the owner's manual that they recommend against firing reloads. +P+ loads will specifically void your warranty and are not safe to use. At least that's what my partner's Glock 17...

Serious court + warranty question on reloads

I humbly disagree. Some slimeball attorney could try to spin that in a negative light, but nobody with a shred of common sense would buy it and legally there is no support to turn what I said into a "See? This guy just wants to kill... Look at all the deadly ammo he made!" Defense will turn...

Serious court + warranty question on reloads

OP: Should you start reloading? Yes. Absolutely, yes. You save money on ammo (you actually do. I load 100 rounds for LESS than the retail cost of a 50 round box of 9mm). It's great stress relief and "me" time. I personally find it very satisfying and fun to do. New loads and powders are always...

Serious court + warranty question on reloads

1: If! you are forced into a position of having to shoot somebody, you want the most lethal round possible. Reloading is one way to ensure that you have that. Or you can spend $20-30 for 20 rounds of HP or other price-gouging rounds. Remember, if you're shooting at somebody intentionally, you...

    Looking for 9mm load data.

Never used Berry's, but I use X-Treme plated round nose bullets which have a very thick plating on them. 4.2gr Ramshot Zip, 115gr X-Treme PRN, CCI/Federal/Winchester primers, reclaimed Fiocchi (G.F.L stampled) and random range brass, 1.150-1.153 OAL. Plunks right in to my Sigma 9ve barrel or in...

    Need help with reloading

I use the Lee carbide 4 die setup for 9mm loading and find that the crimp that the bullet seating die applies is more than adequate for plated or jacketed, so I don't actually use the FCD. I don't know if this would apply to 45 rounds though with the higher? pressures. I've seen a lot of people...

Reloding 9mm and .40S&W... make sense?

It absolutely makes sense to reload 9mm (and I would assume .40 and all other calibres as well). I've loaded either just over, or just under, 1000 rounds of 9mm so far in my Lee 4-Hole Classic Turret Press and I do have to say, there is something very satisfying about not only firing your...

    What Defines Quality Ammo?

Like others have said, "Quality" ammo is just consistent ammo. Fiocchi and Blazer tend to be really good inexpensive 9mm ammo. My experience with Winchest white box 9mm is that it's mediocre. Dirty but mostly reliable. If you want to ensure the quality of your ammo, get yourself some reloading...

    Fiocchi 9mm Luger - 115 grain FMJ

Fiocchi is great ammo. Fairly inexpensive as well, even here in California where you can get a big box of 250 for something like $35-40 if I recall right. The 115gr FMJ 9mm stuff is cleanish, has a nice pop to it and the brass is really good reloading brass. I've found that the cases are a hair...

    9mm NATO?

It's basic NATO ammo, also known in the US as +P. You might or might not find the primer crimped; I've seen both. It tends to be a little more expensive and can be found most places ammo is sold.

    Show us your reloading setup!

I've only been reloading for about 2 months now. 9mm only so far, but we (my partner and I) have dies for 30-30 and 7x62.54r we're going to be working with this weekend for a big range trip on the 19th. Just a basic bench made to fit this particular space in a small closet over a stairwell in...

    First reload and got questions

Hey there! I will preface anything I say with a firm note of I'm a fairly new reloader as well, having only reloaded 500-600 9mm rounds so far, and I've been very conservative with my powder charges thus far, staying a decent ways away from max loads. It seems to me that the lighter the load...

    First reload and got questions

As a fellow rider, I approve of your analogy! :D And I totally agree with it.
