Inceptor ARX .38 Special Fragmenting in Flight

I do like the 158 LSWC bullet design. One of my favorite loads to shoot is a hard cast version of that bullet, especially in a .357 Mag case. Any good powder will do, fun to shoot.

Inceptor ARX .38 Special Fragmenting in Flight

I actually shot it all up for another video where I wanted to confirm that it was still fragmenting in the J-frame but not the 686. In retrospect I should have saved a couple rounds. I could care less about the ammo at this point, but thinking my gun could be screwed up in stressful. I did...

Inceptor ARX .38 Special Fragmenting in Flight

This phenomenon is such a mystery to me. When I fire the Inceptor ARX .38 Special out of my J-frame (S&W 342PD) the projectile will hit the paper like buckshot at any given range, even from 5 yards. It does not happen every shot, but about 1/3 of the time. I fired this ammo through my 4" 686 and...

    .38spl 125gr XTP issues

Thanks for the replies. I will make sure to crimp it at mid cannelure and reduce charge. I think my starting charge at mid cannelure is a good start and I won't go up too far from that because the gun I intend to fire these through is a S&W 342PD that's only 10.8 ounces. I may get up to the...

    .38spl 125gr XTP issues

I can't wrap my head around this, the load data for the powders I use (231 & TiteGroup) list the c.o.a.l. at 1.455", but the case mouth isn't even touching the cannelure at all, obviously i'm not going to roll crimp into the smooth side of the bullet. Other powders list the same bullet at...

    Am I doing this right?

The factory 230 gr ammo I have fired, both plated RN and FMJ RN are both about 1.265" on my calipers and all of that ammo functions flawlessly so i'm thinking of trying that length and doing a plunk test, but i'm sure it would be good. The only concern I have is decreasing pressure by going too...

    Am I doing this right?

one on the right is what I loaded up compared to a factory round

    Am I doing this right?

.45acp, 230gr FMJ ball, 4.8gr of Titegroup @ 1.200" OAL? The Hodgdon website lists this load just like this but with a 230gr FMJ FP, and the Lee reloading manual shows the exact same load but just says "230 gr FMJ"...The thing is that when loaded to 1.200" OAL they just don't look right, they...

    Bought ME A Glock

I got the holster intended for the G30 yesterday and my 36 fit it perfectly. The only conceivable difference I could see between this and what I should have ordered is a mock line molded into the leather where the 30 has a rail and the 36 does not.

    Bought ME A Glock

Here is my unboxing and firing the first shots fired through it. I did not fire a single round before I started recording. I am impressed with this pistol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZO3i889pCo

    Bought ME A Glock

I forgot to mention that I really wanted a .45, so that's why I got this over a 9 or 40. Here is my J frame on top of it like yours lol

    Bought ME A Glock

I did order a holster last week before going to pick out a Glock. I was dead set on getting a G30 so I just went ahead and ordered a DeSantis thumb break scabbard holster for the 29/30. DeSantis makes one specifically for the 36 as well but i'm not sure I want to deal with internet returns and...

    Bought ME A Glock

This is one of the first autos I have ever purchased, and my first Glock...It's the Glock G36 in .45 auto. I got it because i'm sick of banging up revolvers and worrying about their ability to take abuse, I wanted something about the same size, weight, and stopping power per round as one of my...

    342PD Fell Apart

S&W just emailed me back and basically said, you aren't the original owner so you're out of luck.Bye. That's basically how it was. So I took the yoke screw out and put it back together and it seems to hold, fired a few rounds fine as well. I did though, fire another hand load and it did the...
