This is an AR pattern .22 rifle. You can get a pretty reasonable amount of accuracy but if you are looking for a precision rifle the M&P 15-22 is not what you want.

I would personally go with the MOE, especially at that price and drop in a trigger. This way you have your better barrel factory installed and can get to the shooting you want to do right away.

I have the Velcro one I use for my 15-22 and never had a problem. I dump it when I reload, which is about four or five mags.

I've put 500 to 750 rounds through my MP in a range session and never once had a failure. Seems like something has to be off.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't expect that anything was wrong and the very little movement doesn't affect my shooting at all, but good to know it's normal.

Mine is weird, I have the mil-spec on the MOE 15-22 and it wobbles a tiny bit in every locked position. It doesn't affect my shooting, but I thought it wasn't supposed to wobble unless it was fully extended. It fits perfect on the tube, though.

I've been doing the same thing with no problem, the snake with the Hoppes cleans the heck out of the barrel. However, I clean my rifle pretty frequently, maybe every 500-750 rounds. Between the carbon and the dust out here in Nevada I try to keep it pretty new looking. I don't have to give...
