He just needs to come up with a realy great story, like it was dug up on Normandy Beach. You just have to get creative.

    Pre 27 Tucson PD

I carried a 625 when I first started with the Sheriff's Dept and my buddy carried a 6 in 57. When everyone was going plastic, he would not give up his 57. He carried it right up to when he quit.

Instalation of adjustable sights on Brazilian 1917

I have a Brazilian contract 1917 thats not in the best shape but shoots really great. The problem is that with my eyes, I need a larger sight picture. What would be an aftermarket adjustable sight that could be installed? I think the front sight could be adapted as well. I don't think that there...

    1917 on it's way/Has Arrived!

I understand your reasoning. Is it a violation of the law to possess? Yes. Would you be charged under those curcumstances? Probably not. Would it be seized and destoyed? Yes. Criminal intent is not needed to be a voilation, but to get a prosecutor to file is another matter. My father gave me a...

    M&P project gun

Per the S&WSC#3, 700000 thru 1000000 was made from 1940 to 1945. Perhaps someone else could be more precise. I have a 5 inch as well made during the early 20's. A really fun gun to shoot.

    1917 on it's way/Has Arrived!

The question has to be is where is the primary location of the factory assigned serial number. On the older guns, it's the bottom of the grip frame. It does not matter that the same number is on the cylinder, barrel, ect. as that is not considered the "reciever" of the firearm. The other parts...

    1917 on it's way/Has Arrived!

I agree with the lack of the serial number on the frame. You might want to check your local laws on such things. In my state it is a crime to possess a gun that has had the serial number removed.

Question On A Lemon Squeezer .38

I love old guns with a history, especially the family kind. I would not touch it, besides a good cleaning. My dad gave me an old Colt double barrel hammer 12ga that was well worn. My great grandfather carried it on many hunts and each time I pick it up, I feel I am right there with him. Just my...

    Brazilian range report

I do wear bifocals. I just hold my head high and use them for shooting. The front sight is clear, but the target is fuzzy. I used to shoot at 25 yds, but have had to move it up to 20 yds. I had thought about the same thing, but just have not got to the optical center to do so.

    Brazilian range report

Here is a target from my Brazilian. This is about equal to one I had about 15 years ago. Not bad for open sights and 50 year old eyes.
