44 spl brl 44 mag cyl 45lc frame (im in va also , found this gun at gunshow in richmond)

So a lil update , i finally got out and shot this gun , it has a 24 barrel 25 frame 29 cylinder so ill call it the model 242529 , shot 30 rds of 44 magnum through it just fine

So i got the gun home , 44 magnum does fit in the cylinder .... so a 25 frame a 44 mag cylinder and a 44 special barrel

For the price i could not pass it up. I will research getting a letter

Recently acquired a s&w 25-2 in 44 spl. The old guy i got it from said it is a factory original special order gun. I have attempted to research and am coming up empty , bringing me here to the s&w gurus who can shed some light on this gun for me.

as you can see the bulge is under the front sight

yes the rear sight is fixed (def appears it is the 38/44 heavy duty)...... now to find a barrel

so would the model on this be 38/44 outdoorsman? Smith & Wesson .38/44 - Wikipedia

it looks identical to the model 520 just in .38spl serial number is S645XX

recently acquired a s&w 5207 .... i cant find anything on this model i see the model 520's in .357 but this one is a .38spl ... seems to be a very heavily built .38 spl .... unfortunately there is a bulge in the barrel right behind the front sight , what other model barrels would fit this gun?

It is a cs40d ... Not much about these on the net (not gonna say what i paid)
