And mine has a 6" barrel... The alloy cylinders can be pretty easy to spot as the color is not even close to the same as the frame, more of a soft gray almost matte painted look vs the stainless brushed frame.

Great gun in theory, but in practice it cant handle magnum loads and will break long before it should. Vicious recoil has a tendancy to engage the lock so anyone who intends to carry it for protection should disable the lock before it has a chance to kill you. Bullet creep is a serious problem...

+1 on these. They make two versions, the "normal" and "competition" versions. The red ones are the comp versions and have a little stiffer spring. But even the comp version is very easy to use. And the same company also makes loading blocks. Even if you dont plan on shooting a ton of ammo...

I use moon clips on the first load (the first five loaded for carry) and either a safariland speedloader or a speed strip for the reload. The moon clip on the first load makes sure all the shells come out with a slight push on the ejector...

Best J frame I have ever owned, and I have owned and carried a few... In a gal o ankle glove you forget its there. In a pockets its a little heavy, but full power magnum loads make it worth it. I put a set of hogue bantam grips on mine and never looked back.

The tracking system for USPS is a joke. When UPS or Fedex delivers a package to my house, 2 minutes later I get a confirmation email. With USPS it can be 2 DAYS later before the tracking is updated in their system. If its important, send it next day air, its the only guaranteed service the USPS...

My barrel was made by Lothar-Walther... I don't know if they use only one brand of steel, but mine works. i will have to call and find out what that are going to do. I'll be pissed if I send it in for a recall while its shooting 1" rested 100yard groups and get it back with an over clocked...
