Me too -- Plot #637k. Somewhere in the cellar I have a tobacco root that the JD Distillery sent to me because it was found on my 1' x 1' plot of land.
Back to S&Ws, I wish my .32 H&R Mag had a 5" bull barrel like the 63-4 does. I recall an old post on this forum where someone (GreenFrog?)...
I'd just posted about the Mdl 66-2 on the right (see image below) in another forum here. I just picked this one up recently for a really NICE price and it appears to have been shot very little and very well cared for. I've already replaced the stock stainless hammer with a case-colored one, as...
Here's my L'il and Big Brother S&Ws posing for a family pix.
On the left is my Mdl 63-4 .22 with the heavy 5" barrel. I really like the heavy profile better than the skinny 4" barrel that's on my Mdl 63 in .32 H&R Mag (it's the other brother, who is not shown). I'd posted about this 5" .22...
Wow, I just got a new "Like" on my 10-year old posting...
Funny thing is though, after getting into vintage single shots (about 180 degrees opposite the M&P .22) I ended up selling that one off...

Or (b) [if you're handy with shop tools and know the trick to removing the S&W sideplate without prying it up] the shortest route to an...
One benefit of not spending 9 to 12 nights a month in hotels (national accounts) is I'm getting much more bench time for various cellar projects...
OK, I'll admit right off that most buyers of the SSR Pro Series won't think any upgrades are needed, and yeah I get that. I just happen to like...
At a price of $1,400...
If you don't think you overpaid -- then maybe you just bought it 5 or 10 years early...
That's how I rationalize my purchases...

It seems I've had a love/hate relationship with the J-frame Model 63s...
First I had a 4" one, then sold that when someone made me a decent offer for it. Then I found a 3" one, which was really handy to carry in the woods, but someone else wanted it more than me, and I sold off that one too...
