I have a S&W 586 in SS. I was under the impression that the SS was a 686. I'm sure that it is not nickel. Am I wrong in my thinking? The serial number is AAE2662. Thanks for your help. John

I sure look forward to reading and learning from you all. I carried S&Ws while I worked as a deputy sheriff in Kansas. We changed over to 9mm semi autos for a duty weapon but I always kept at least 2 S&W revolvers for a back-up. I knew that they would always work.

Here in Nebraska it is 0 tolerance. o alcohol in breath, blood or urine. O
