Just got it back! I just go the Shield back from S&W. Quick work! Considering how busy they must be at this time of the year I got it back much faster than expected - much appreciated. Tomorrow it goes to the range & we'll see how well the problem was corrected. More in the next couple of days.

BC restrictions? Hey there Kamloops - I understand that our friends north of the border have some pretty severe restrictions on purchase, ownership, carry etc. I heard that barrel lengths shorter than some minimum are even more restricted. How do you manage with that yet still get what you want?

After 8 FTE's and one FTFeed in the first 300 rounds using 4 different types of ammo, and inconsistent large groupings I contacted S&W about warranty repair. Mean time my daughter's new 9mm Shield runs flawlessly, smoothly & accurately - much better than mine. S&W sent me a RMA return FedEx...

I just started using my new Shield 9mm. In the first 100 rds I had 4 FTEs (failure to eject) where the spent shell casing jammed in the ejection port. Ammo was decent quality - 50 Magtech & 50 Lawman 115 gr. Any one have advice on this? is it a break-in issue, or a defective gun? Thanks!
