The extractor is spring loaded and will "wiggle" if you try to move it. It's supposed to. I think ya'll are talking about the ejector. 1 round per hundred could be a number of things. Are the failures near the end of your session? Could be a dirty gun. Or are they spread throughout the session...

Can someone explain this? Why in the world would cleaning your .22 bore with a rod be more harmful than not doing it at all? Are people scraping the rod against the inside or something??

I have not sent back a 15-22, but I have sent an SW1911 to them twice. You do not need a lock, just box up the gun, original magazine and make sure it's in "inoperable" status (unloaded etc..) and ship it off. You can actually ship it in the factory box, just cover the box in that brown shipping...
