Yes, the pistol was made Houlton, ME. Additionally, S&W stated that it was for the NYPD. I guess it was never issued. I wonder if the quality matches up the the “old” 5906 pistols.

Hello, I have a Performance Center 5906 DPA that I purchased new many years ago. I didn’t know what it was other than I liked the front serrations and the gun felt tight. Paid $1050. Does anyone know how many were made?

I have the opportunity to purchase a 1954 Highway Patrolman 4” in 95%+ condition with box. I have no idea of the value as gunbroker and a couple other sites do not have anything similar listed.
