I miss the 547 4" SB I had years ago....lost it to ex wife in the divorce. the 9mm in a revolver works pretty good, and has good muzzle velocity in the short barrel J frame guns as well. I too would pick up a 547 if they did a reissue.

I've been lurking for a while, but Im a lifelong fan of S&W revolvers, and have carried them as a Texas Peace Officer.(also have owned 4 semi auto S&W's over the years.) here is a photo of my current herd :)

Maaaan, I really hate that being I just Brought home a M28 4 days ago to go with the M13 and M581 performance center revolver here at the house. And Coonan just going back into production with thier semi auto 1911 types that eat .357Mag All that money for noth'in. I got a M29 that the .454...

Good looking revolver...but was never a fan of Ashleys big dot sights(and I knew Ashley from him hanging around Cheaper than Dirt, when I worked there).. got to play with them alot.

It sounds like you are standing up straight Trying to draw from it... Thats not how it Was designed to use. Remember the "FBI" crouch? Well you bent forward at the waist, as one Of the elements of that...making that forward cant Angle just right

"Lazy", thanks for that link to TripleK on the previous page..I was going through the same search, but for a 4" M28...I was having no luck on ebay for a reasonably priced plain black duty holster. so a plain black#196 carrylite @ $45.00 plus $8.00 shipping fixed me right up. I allready picked up...

That is a really nice looking revolver! The user interchangable barrel concept was allways a good one, I just never could totally get used to the DW cylinder release on the crane(too many years with S&W's) but they had many good points. S&W would make some sales if they produced that revolver in...

Anyone have a plain black leather duty type holster in really good shape just gathering dust? I need one for a M28 Highway Patrolman 4" im picking up soon. looking for level 1 or2 preferably..even a good Jordan type. my regular email is [email protected] thanks!
