I guess S&W is shut down until Aug 13th, so i should receive the barrel near the end of the month. I'll give a range report after i get it.

I called my dealer and he didn't really have an answer for me. I was under the impression that ALL M&P's had a round or two fired and that the brass was put into the package. Why would the dealer remove them? Yes, i'm from the People's Republic of Ontario, Canada. Not a Gun Friendly Province.

I take it that these are pic's of the 9mm barrel's? When did S&W start shipping out the new version barrel?

In Canada, there are only a few companies that Import Barrel's and other Firearm related items. So they ordered the Barrel for me and i'll pay before they ship it to me.

So whats the consensus here guys? I ordered a factory 9mm barrel two weeks ago. I'm i going to get the new improved version?

I wanted to ask since i just bought my M&P40, i was about to order the Factory 9mm barrel to go along with it, when i noticed the Slide part numbers are different. How different and how much of a difference is it?
