Picked up several mags for my 4506-1 that are marked differently and are slightly different.Some are marked "this magazine must have a yellow follower -D- And some have a black follower with no markings.Anýone know why theÿ made them that way?

Have a third gen 4506-1 that has the novak rear sight.Is there any info on where i can get an adj rear sight as a replacement,S&W wont do it,only told me no but not why.

I have 2 third gen 45 autos,a 4506 no dash and a 4506-1.I must get rid of one of them [reason not important].The 4506 has adj sights and the 4506-1 does not.Witch would be the better keeper?What about just switching top ends and keep the 4506-1 with the adj sight from the 4506.

Will a 3rd gen 4506 no dash slide fit on a 3rd gen 4506-1 frame? Also what are the differences between the no dash and the dash 1?

Need to locate a good smith for a 3rd gen 4506,also just what can I expect from one.I hear its tough to smooth out and reduce the trigger pull on them.

Isn't a 45acp loaded with a 250 or 255 head just as effective as a 45 colt with the same head loaded to 850 or 900 fps.I have a lot of 45acp super brass for my 900 acp loads.

What is the difference between the 625 in 45acp with model 1988 and the ones with model 1989 on the bbl? Also what is ment by military model of 1988? Saw one on gunbroker that looked the same as my 1989 model.

Is it possible to get a lighter trigger pull on a 3rd gen 4506-1.I love mine but it would be a better shooter if I could get the pull down to 3 1/2 pounds like my 1911.I've heard that people send them to S&W for an action job,just what is that?
