    Model 41

I have a Mod 41 with a 5 1/2" barrel. Ordered a 7" barrel from Smith and assumed it was a drop in. I attempted to put it on the frame, but the trigger guard will not close and lock. Compared both barrels, and they appear identical. $hit. Gunsmith time? Thanks, Paul

    Giving up IWB carry.

OK. As a Police Officer I have been required to wear a sidearm for a good number of years. Personally, I have NEVER been able to become accustomed to ANY method of concealed carry. Bottom line. It's a pain in the ***. On duty, I never notice the gun, and like my vest I would feel naked without...

"Concealed Weapons Permit" Badge - Pros & Cons

OK, LEO here. Any goofy CCW badge will only set you up for a potential problem. Aside from that, it identifies you as a real tool to the cops.

    Anyone shoot a Model 327 MP 8 shot 357?

I owned one for for two weeks. I have shot many of the larger caliber handguns regularly for over 40 year and not at all "recoil sensitive." IMHO the 327 is nasty at best. I would rather shoot full loads in my 6 1/2" Mod 29 all day than spend 10 minutes with the 327. To each his own, and others...

    S&W 945 vs 1911

I own a S&W 1911 that is currently being turned into my "Bullseye 45." Other than the trigger it has been a great shooter straight out of the box. I recently had the misfortune of owning an "Performance Center" revolver. (Model 327 2.5 inch .357 Mag) that I dumped. I will never again buy into...

I wonder how many will truthfully say....

I've carried a Sig P220 on duty for years with no accidental discharge. I also carry a Glock 36 with no fear of the dang thing going off. Just like a revolver, you have to pull the trigger. "Supervisors," well that's another story.

    Anything wrong here?

Unfortunately, given today's environment, there is a wealth of first time gun buyers with little to no knowledge or experience. They are easy prey for a sales staff supplementing their salary with commission. Fortunately, the store I usually buy from has a large inventory. When I am looking to...

    Anything wrong here?

Yea, I'm disappointed. Anyone can, and will sometimes make a mistake, but when a customer forks over the extra cash for special attention to detail, I don't think the customer should have to send a product back, only to make it as advertised. My feeling is that the QC is only advertising hype...

    Anything wrong here?

Sounds like a real hassle. Well, it's going to be a trade-in at the gun shop where I bought it. I'll take the hit, skip the monkey dance and chalk it up to experience. Unfortunately I bought a set of Crimson Trace and Eagle "Secret Service" grips, not to mention several boxes of 357 mag ammo. I...

    Anything wrong here?

I was afraid of that. So much for "Performance Center" quality. This is the first and last time I waste my money on the PC hype. Thanks, Paul
