Model 41

I have a Mod 41 with a 5 1/2" barrel.
Ordered a 7" barrel from Smith and assumed it was a drop in.
I attempted to put it on the frame, but the trigger guard will not close and lock. Compared both barrels, and they appear identical. $hit.

Sometimes it takes a fairly heavy force to lock up. If not locking up after using heavy force - return to S&W noting problem (call customer service first). Seems as if tolerances are getting sloppier than with the early units.
