    Suppressor ammo?

Hey All- I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a .22 suppressor. One of the guns I plan to use it on is my M&P15-22. Obviously subsonic or standard velocity ammo is quietest; any suggestions? Best, PaulG

I have joined the Model 30 club

I’ll play too! I’ll play too! This model 30-1 belonged to my late brother-in-law. His father was a Maine State Trooper, and he carried it as an off duty piece. There are a few blemishes in the finish, and the stocks are somewhat worn. However, there is no visible turn line, so I don’t think it...

    Active shooter...Lewiston. Maine.....

My wife and I were in a meeting less than a mile from the site of the second shooting. Across the street from the hospital where victims were taken. We figured something was up when cruiser after cruiser went screaming by. We sheltered in place until about 10 pm and then made our way home...

    Alvin A White - engraver

Here’s mine… Here are a set of what I believe are a set of Mr. White’s carved stocks. They are on a pre-27 that dates to 1953. Paul G

    Boxes through the Years

Due to lack of anything better to do, I was rearranging my factory S&W boxes and noticed the subtle (and not so subtle) changes over the years. Just what I need, another reason to collect guns, so I can get all the different box variations. Cheers! Pauldg

Who shoots a 44 mag with a 3" barrel or less...feedback on a good model please...

N-Frame Snubbies I too happen to like N-Frame snubs. I inherited the no dash 657;from a relative, and wanted a matching 629. Picked up the 629 a few years ago. It’s become my “critter fitter” while hunting. Definitely punishing with full power loads, but manageable with 44 special. For purely...

    A 25-5 For My Collection

Long barrels I like them too! 25-5 on the right, accompanied by siblings 27-5, 29-3 and 57-3

    A fixer upper gun

I have corresponded with DOC44 already, and he's the one that suggested they were Alvin White's work. I hadn't really considered lettering it, but now I'm intrigued. The black SAT tool is pretty neat as well.

    A fixer upper gun

I found this old gun at a yard sale. My cousin Moose was in the army and knows all about guns an stuff. He says he can cut the barrel off and put on one of those laser scopes to make it real tactical. He said he can paint it to. The wooden handles are all coerced up, so I’m gonna throw them out...

Unfluted 629 Here’s mine. I purchased from a cousin’s estate. The receipt in the box says it was purchased in 1991 for $450.

Ruger 44 mag carbine at the range

When these first came out, my grandfather bought one for my uncle, who shot many deer with it. Fast forward to 1976, my uncle took me hunting for the first time at age 10. He let me use the .44, and I proceeded to shoot my first deer with it that year. I’ve bugged him for many years to sell me...

    Accurate #2

As folks have already said, it meters very well. I like it for .38 special and .45 auto. I believe it’s closer to Bullseye than W231 in terms of burn rate. I bought several pounds a while back, then inherited a nearly full 8# jug of Bullseye. As soon as I finish that, I’m going back to the AA #2.
