    J-frame endshake

I too can strongly recommend Lance at Trigger Shims....Great Christian people. ...and Hondo44 is right. Put that 'smith on the "don't do business with" list. If you only need a few thousands to bring it into spec. Say .003-.009 or so. Shims are a good fix. If much more than .010 I would find...

Burr on rear of barrel 627PC

Chief 38 has the right advice. I would not recommend a file. I use a fine stone. Polish off the burr and a put a very fine champher around the outer edge of the barrel. It is quite common to have that sharp edge on Smith barrels. We de-burr them all the time.

    Need some help here gang

My my question, is it possible for the yoke's spring/plunger to come out of the screw while the revolver is completely/properly assembled???? I had a customer recently bring in a 625JM. He had the revolver in one hand and the yoke/cylinder in the other. Frame was completely assembled, grips...

    686 cylinder sticking

I'm with you and tomcatt51. Strain screw has nothing to do with the extractor rod. And .002 would be less than 1/8 of a turn. The average human hair is .006-.008! You say the the ejector/extractor rod is tight (it is a LH thread) We see revolvers in the shop from time to time that won't open...

625JM reduced mainspring and longer FP?

rule 3 We have done a lot of Smith action jobs too. Both for carry and competition> I shoot a 625 in USPSA competition with a 6.5-7 lb double action pull. (I don't know or care what the SA pull is...hammer is bobbed) It functions 99.9% with Federal Primers about 80% with anything else I have...

Tritium Vial Source for DIY Night Sight?

NO, from what I have been told over the years the vials are controlled by the NRC. Thus there are only a hand full of companies that can handle and install them. I have used Tooltech in Oxford Michigan several times. If you contact Trijicon they will probably reference you to tooltech.
