Sights are the greatest upgrade after grip and trigger modifications IMO. I'm only 31 but the difference between stock sights and fiber sights is awesome esp for acquiring a quick sight picture during competitions or drills.
I run apex on my shield. It is a lighter, more predictable trigger by far - the only flaw with the blue line Apex kit atleast is that it's a little gritty and tough to get it to pull clean all the time (anyone else that shoots my gun thinks its a jam).
Yup i have the blue line trigger installed on my shield. I called Apex about this and they said its a design they intended (i call BS) since it is primarily used as a carry pistol, not target pistol. It's a "safety" feature to make it harder to mis-fire. I run a simliar Apex kit (non blue line)...
i ran the 9c as my go-to for a while. Recently made the switch to my G19 gen 5. Both are modded guns, with the 9c being modded with recoil spring and triggers (i stippled and cut the frame on both to my liking).
I'd say its personal preference on grip and feel.
