Shield 45 Trigger Pull Issue

So I am trying to decide if I like the stock Shield 45 trigger, or whether I should upgrade to the Apex trigger.

My issue with the stock trigger is that the take up to the point at which the trigger breaks is ridiculously light. Then at the break point, there is a wall...let's say 6.5 pounds (don't have a trigger scale, so just guessing).

I would prefer a trigger pull that has consistent tension throughout, like my Ruger SR9C. With the Shield, I find myself just quickly advancing the trigger to the break point, then starting the shot from there.

Is this how the Shield's trigger typically is? Is the Apex trigger similar, or does it have a more consistent tension throughout the entire pull?

Thanks.

Shoot it and you'll get used to it. It is actually a great trigger.

If you don't like it after a while you can go back to the SR9c.

I run apex on my shield. It is a lighter, more predictable trigger by far - the only flaw with the blue line Apex kit atleast is that it's a little gritty and tough to get it to pull clean all the time (anyone else that shoots my gun thinks its a jam).

The shield 45 has a very good trigger out of the box. I put an apex sear on it just to compare and I went back to the stock trigger.
My shield 9 is also stock, train, shoot, repeat...they only get better.
