Gents,
I have the same question as the OP. I have a chance to get the following model:
Product: Model M&P15T - 10 Round, Fixed Magazine & Bullet Button®
for $720 OTD but I want to ensure I can take that mag out. I've removed that stupid bullet button before so no issue there but how to I...
Spot on right there. For what you're talking about, a 45 degree mount is the way to go. If you've ever seen Jerry Mitchilek (sp?) operate his AR in a 3 gun competition it's insane how fast he transitions back and forth.
Just maintain that cheekweld and you'll be good to go.
Thanks. Plouffe is pronounced Pluff (like Paul Pluff of Smith and Wesson) hence why all my buddies call me plouffe daddy---sounds like puff daddy
The Claymore does everything you stated--for the shooter and people to your sides, the sound signature is greatly reduced. Downrange, it's probably loud as all get out but I don't plan on being downrange from anyone using this brake!
I picked up this brake to test for an upcoming SBR (short barrel rifle) build and wanted to test if what I heard about the brake was true. Well, it is. Pros––-greatly reduces the perceived noise level for the shooter and it reduces the blast to those on your side. Cons––-slightly more perceived...
Up to now, I have over 700 trouble free rounds through this gun and every time I shoot it the gun grows on me a little more.
I feel I've had enough experience to do a full write up/video review of it and here it is....

Thanks. I actually tried to put a 15'' rail on it but gas was coming out of the flash hider onto it so I dropped down to a 12''. If I could do it again, I'd just pin a Troy Claymore on there to eliminate the gas escaping and go with the 15''.
But, I like it the way it is so no complaints.
I really like my MI rail (it's a 12'' on a 14.7'' barrel but they make a rifle length model). Plus, since you're in the military, they offer you a discounted rate and free shipping.
The above is the Gen1 which I like over the Gen2. I don't mind a little extra weight on my personal ARs...
