A Better 4006 Trigger Group & Trigger Pull

I'm not sure what you mean here. I was under the impression that the CHP's deletion of the play spring only factors in when the trigger is in single action mode and doesn't affect initial "pull feel" at all. But then again, I learn something new every day, so I could be way off.

    Performance 4006?

The Performance Center made a .40 cal version of the 945 back in 2001 or 2002.. There are also the various Lew Horton, RSR, etc.. RECON/Tactical models, which would all be closer to the 4006. All would be pretty rare, although I couldn't say which ones would be easier to find.

Oh, I just wondered if you had any other thoughts or techniques in mind. I suppose irony is a strange thing...

    Guns with mounted lights

This is an interesting concept to explore. If I interpret this correctly, you see the utility of a weapon light on a long gun, but not on a handgun? Personally, I think that 90% of "court concerns" are overblown, even as 50% of statistics are made up.. but if the worry is an attorney...

    CHP 4006

I'm pretty sure the M6 is no longer standard anyway. A really sweet set-up is the CHP 4006 with the Safariland 6280 holster and the TLR-1 weaponlight. I don't think the CHP carries a light on their pistol on duty though, but I'm not positive.. Does the agency have its own special unit that...

    "Idiot mark," but No Idiocy

Does the shop perform an inspection on the pistol once it's sold but before it's delivered to the customer? Something like this happened to me when I bought a Springfield 1911. On the day that I was supposed to pick up the pistol, I showed up and there was a store employee "inspecting" the...

"I wouldn't sell you that gun"

Yeah, I don't know why people act that way. Especially in an area where everyone shares the same interests. It's funny, but I had the exact opposite experience. Not too long ago I took a class just for fun/skills at a local range-nothing official, and was using my 4006. The instructor went on...

    CHP 4006

Palmetto, The SKU for the CHP 4006 is 150149. That includes the bobbed hammer, decocker only, integral rail, no trigger return spring, and 3 mags. Although I believe it comes with a straight backstrap instead of the curved one shown in the picture. (for comparison, the SKU for the regular...

New Hampshire adopts M&P 45 (new 14 rd mag pics on pg 4)

Well, I don't know, I'm not part of the process, but the concern doesn't seem to be related to the fact that it's just another brand, but that an undisclosed amount of them are knowingly defective, especially since they were modified from the norm. How many? 2%? 10%? 90%? If Glock, or Smith...

New Hampshire adopts M&P 45 (new 14 rd mag pics on pg 4)

Wouldn't that depend on if S&W was taking the old Sigs for any kind of credit? The article doesn't mention it, but it looks like it was a straight sale. If that's the case, then NH could simply sell the pistols direct to officers through a contracted dealer, similar to how it works in most...
