    WTS: S&W Model 27-2 5", SOLD!

Many questions and requests for additional pics sent to their email. There is no rust. There is no pitting. No, i am not entertaining trade offers. I consider offers of 100 bux off as "low-balling" and will not respond. I would rate finish and function conservatively at 90%. It is shot, but not...

The S&W holy grail 357 mag?

You are right. My intent was to hear what ATTAINABLE 357 mag was desired from this forums respected members. From the pics shown, many of you have aquired said gun, and I am truly envious. To petepeterson, you are correct. The 5" does feel perfectly balanced. I've owned 6" models with and w/o...

The S&W holy grail 357 mag?

I've always considered this the holy grail 357 mag. Model 27-2 with 5" barrel. Pythons look unproportionate, especially with the vented rib. I guess I'm fortunate to feel this way as they are practically unreachable anymore. Anyway, what say you? What's your 357 grail gun?

I see shooting-grade 6.5" 29's on gunbroker all the time for 600-750 all the time. Eventually, they will dry up, like seeing 60's Mustangs for 1000 bux.

    Ammo Choices for 44 Magnum

The heaviest bullets I shoot in my 29-2 is 255gr lead SWC's. I reload, so I have a lot of options. If it were me, I wouldn't shoot the 300gr bullets.

    M27 3 1/2

I experienced this with my 5" model 27. I thought it was a bent rod or crane as well. Contacted a gunsmith, he told me he fix if those were the problems, but to try giving thorough cleaning, especially under ejector star and in cylinder set holes. I got out the q-tips and cleaned every corner...

    S&W Model 64 marked "PPD"

I've got a model 64 with "Pittsburgh Police" stamped down the backstrap. It's a 64-3 dating around '77, 4" heavy barrel. So, unless they changed their stamping methods, I doubt yours is Pittsburgh.

    Model 64- The orphan Smith?

Born in 1977, but is as crisp and tight as if it were born yesterday. This one will never leave the family, at least until after I kick.

    S&W 27-2 value

Got one. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I paid $600 for mine about 5yrs ago.

    Grips for 29-2

Bought this 6.5" a few months back that came with target grips. They were in decent shape, but not great. Kinda darker on one side and some scuffing at the edge. Shooting was ok, but I wanted the control you get with hogue rubber. So, I just bought some grips on ebay from gungripsupply.com ...

Buds has the 3" and 4" model 10s again

AFAIK, if there was some engraving or police markings..fine. But, for me, the stickers had to go. The guns "history" is written all over mine. First part was dirt and residue from it rarely being cleaned. That went away too. Second part is the scratches and nicks as it appears as much effort...
